I am active also, they do not have enough afterschool activities for the kids, my daughter was in robotics, and all of a sudden she wasn't in it without warning, but i notice the kids who did better drawings were only in robotics, i have never heard about the stepping and was never told but i will look into it and my daughter is in girl scouts but that has nothing to do with P.S 270, and still since september they do not offer afterschool for my daughter for me until off of work at 5:00 so she could do her homework, and i do not want to do family night with the school, you can not get afterschool programs for 1 day out the week but you could watch movies, thanks but no thanks i will do that will my child s to bad they do not reinforce the uniform kids wear what they want which is shouldn't,i just think P.S. Great School, Students, and Staff! Posted by a student on This classroom system is part of the reason why we have NEVER had a fight in our schools history. ![]() Since from a young age freshman mingle with older students, when that freshman gets to be an upperclassmen, they help create a safe environment for all students. This may seem intimidating at first, but this really contributes to the iSchool experience. Because the grades are mixed together, freshman have the opportunity to meet upperclassmen. And unlike most high schools, there are NO CLIQUES in the ischool. ![]() The diversity of the student body speaks for itself. All teachers must allow all students to redo what we call mastery assignments, which allows us to maximize our grade at all times during the quarter. Even though the environment isnt very competitive, each student finds it within themselves to push and strive to be better. From freshman year, students receive elite guidance from their instructors and advisers. i am currently a junior and i am completely in love with this school. ![]() It's hard to think of any part of the iSchool experience that I would change. The iSchool is a model for the 21st century student.
